The real success in business often comes with a change in mindset from thinking as a solopreneur to being a business woman. As a coach, I can see a dramatic difference when a woman steps out of “FLIRTING WITH THE BUSINESS IDEA” and steps in into being “ALL IN” and reaching her goals with ease.
The shift happens when:
- You create a bigger vision for your life and business
- You are aligned with your purpose
- You are connected with your vision
TODAY, I’M SHARING WITH YOU THE 5 AREAS YOU NEED TO BE “ALL IN” TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR BUSINESS.
1. BECOME A CEO
The biggest difference in successful business women is that they no longer think like a small business owner. Adopting a CEO mindset when you are still in the building stages of your business will allow you and your team to develop the skill and systems of operating at a higher level.
In other words, being a solopreneur keeps you from scaling your business. At some point you can stop being a funnel and you can instead start becoming a bottleneck.
The right systems in place are the foundation of how your business will function even if you are not personally present. Developing systems early on in the life of the business is the first step towards signaling that you are ALL IN. Take the time and do the work that will elevate your business and sets you apart from your competition.
2. LEARN HOW TO FOCUS
While multitasking is something that has been praised, it’s not a positive state of being and it is quickly falling out of favor with women entrepreneurs. In fact, it makes it harder for you to be successful when you multitask because it takes time for you to get back on track each time you are disrupted. Successful women know that they can’t focus on too many things at a time to work more efficiently. Set boundaries with yourself and your team and learn how to work without distractions.
One of my favorite ways that helps me stay focused is the Pomodoro method. This timing method helps me train my brain to stay on task for short periods of time. I invite you to try it too. Here’s how it works:
- Set your timer for 25 minutes and get to work.
- When the buzzer sounds, take a 5-minute break.
- Then, set the timer again and get back to work.
- Once you’ve done four rounds of this, you can take a longer break, approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
The movers and shakers in industry make important decisions quickly and take calculated risks. These risks often involve making larger investments in their business as well as creating new avenues for diversification of their products or services.
3. STOP FLIRTING
Until you make a decision to be “ALL IN” you are not fully committed to follow through with the business idea you first fall in love with. It always amazes me to witness this absolutely magical event that happens when a woman makes a decision to be ALL IN in her business. What is interesting is that sometimes even women who are in business for decades are still flirting with their business ideas and the results are still not showing up.
When you finally step into being ALL IN, you will unleash a powerful force in the Universe. The choices you make with this mindset make you absolutely unstoppable.
4. INCREASE YOUR DESIRE FOR YOUR OWN SUCCESS
The more you will study and surround yourself with successful women, the more familiar you will become with what it takes to succeed… and you will see how easy it can be!
Knowing what can be possible for you will stimulate your desire for your own success and will make you want to go ALL IN to achieve them. The more you understand about what it takes to build a successful business, the greater your interest will be. The more interest you have, the greater your desire to succeed.
5. REVIEW YOUR GOALS AND DESIRES REGULARLY
All successful women review their goals and desires regularly. Keeping that constant vision in your mind will keep your heart focused on achieving the goals within a specified time.
If you didn’t do it yet, I invite you to get laser-focused and write your goals for your business. It will act as an invisible force that guides your actions. Carefully think about your business desires and put your goals on paper. By doing so you’ll increase the odds of reaching your goal. To enhance your chances for success, don’t just set one big goal. Instead, opt for shorter term, more frequent goals. Why? It gives you more instantaneous feedback on your ongoing progress and it’ll also allow you to adjust course if necessary.
All success stories begin with a desire and a vision. Increase that desire and create your life and business vision to fuel your appetite for action. If you go ALL IN, nothing will stop you from achieving success and becoming a leader, high performer and winner in your business.
